The Labrador Retriever has been named the most popular breed of dog in America by the American Kennel Club ( AKC) for 30 consecutive years.
The top dog breeds of past years’ lists are still there, but two changes were made to the most recent list. First, the French Bulldog overtook the German Shepherd for the number-two spot. Second, the fun-loving Dachshund topped the top 10 and defeated the Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
